Aspirepc Ltd are recruiting for full time and part time Support Workers to support Clients in a person-centred way, promoting the organisations Ethos and core values. You will treat our clients with respect, dignity and equality.

As the role is providing community support work in people's homes, it is essential for you to drive and have access to your own vehicle (full travel will be paid).

Aspirepc Ltd considers the position of Support Worker to be one of considerable responsibility and confidentiality. You will be expected to show judgement and initiative at a level which is commensurate with this expectation.

As a Support Worker you will have the responsibility of upholding the Ethos and Values in all aspects of your work and promoting a positive image of Aspirepc and its provision.

You will deliver person centred support to meet the needs and aspirations of the people being supported exemplifying best practice at all times. Ensuring that you support the Head of Operations and Service Managers with the delivery of a value for money, high quality service which establishes Aspire’s brand and reflects the needs of the local community.

Locations – Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield - full driving licence and own transport is essential (full travel time is paid)

We can offer you fully-funded training and career development opportunities for all regardless of experience in social care - Care Certificate and Positive Behaviour Training within your probation period. You will complete the required level 2 diplomas within 1 years of employment.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Being focussed on outcomes for our clients to promote increased choice and control.
  • Contribute to the development of, and to work with clients to implement their Support Plans, recording and evaluating outcomes.
  • To maintain professional boundaries at all times.
  • To enable each client to maintain a high standard of personal care
  • To respond appropriately to medical or health concerns and, when authorised, administer drugs and medication and contribute and support therapeutic objectives in accordance with Aspire’s policies and procedures
  • To help plan and support holiday, vocational, learning and social arrangements for the people we support
  • To have responsibility, if required, for the proper use and accounting of finances, including monies belonging to the people we support.
  • When required, to people to complete domestic tasks and maintain their home environment.
  • When required, to support people to make, prepare for and attend appointments.
  • To people to develop and maintain relationships and to participate in and contribute to their local community.
  • To communicate and support visits with families, representatives and outside agencies in a professional and courteous manner.
  • To strictly adhere to Aspire’s safeguarding policies/ procedures.
  • To ensure that all filing and administrative systems and processes are maintained.
  • To promote equality of opportunity, a respect for diversity and anti-oppressive practice.
